Field Service & Technical Sales Engineer - Industrial Material Handling

At ANDRITZ – Allen‑Sherman‑Hoff (ASH), you’ll work directly inside power plants and industrial facilities, helping customers troubleshoot, optimize, and improve critical material handling systems that keep operations running. This is a hands-on, field-based role that blends technical problem solving, customer interaction, and business development—ideal for someone who enjoys working with equipment while identifying opportunities to improve performance and grow business.
Requirements
- Experience working with industrial equipment, mechanical systems, or material handling systems
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with maintenance
- Hands-on experience with commissioning or field service
- Strong customer-facing communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in field environments
- Interest in combining technical expertise with business development
Nice To Haves
- Experience in power generation, ash handling, material handling, or heavy industrial environments is a strong plus
Responsibilities
- Perform on-site diagnostics and troubleshooting of ash handling and material handling systems
- Support installation, startup, shutdowns, and commissioning activities
- Evaluate existing systems (ANDRITZ and competitor equipment)
- Conduct multi-day site assessments to identify performance improvements
- Work directly with plant operations, maintenance, and engineering teams
- Deliver technical recommendations, system evaluations, and training
- Build long-term customer relationships through hands-on support
- Act as a trusted advisor in solving equipment and process challenges
- Identify and develop aftermarket service, upgrade, and parts opportunities
- Support technical proposals, scopes, and solution development
- Partner closely with Sales, Engineering, and Aftermarket teams
- Help expand ASH’s reach into new industries and applications
