About The Position

The Service Mechanic functions as part of the Service Team and is responsible for the care of various types of customer and company-owned equipment. In this role, you will troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment at various customer locations to bring each unit back to operational and safety standards. You will effectively communicate with all involved parties, including Salespeople, Coordinators, Managers, and Customers, about possible downtime and job progress updates. You will operate in a safe, efficient manner with minimal supervision to decrease equipment downtime while also maintaining safe working standards both on-site and during the operation of company vehicles.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of mechanical training/education, and/or experience in a related field
  • Possessing or ability to obtain a complete line of tools, including specialized tools needed to complete the job at the customer site
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Clean driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Occasionally may be required to lift items weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Must be able to push/pull up to 100 pounds.
  • Requires standing, walking, twisting, climbing, and crawling.
  • Requires bending, stooping, kneeling, or squatting handling/fingering on a daily basis.
  • Requires driving a van/truck to and from customer locations
  • Must be able to wear safety glasses and safety shoes.
  • Must be medically capable of performing all aspects of the job with the maximum amount of safety.
