Requirements

Knowledge of electrical and mechanical assembly and repair work.
Must be able to lift 50 to 75lbs and navigate throughout a ship.
Prior experience using hand tools and measuring equipment.
Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications helpful.
50% travel required.
U.S. citizenship.
Valid Driver's license a must.
3+ years experience in a repair environment preferably in a shipyard.
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

associate's degree, vocational or technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist in the repairs of components primarily located on U.S. Naval vessels.
Remove and replace various model pumps & valves that are attached and electric.
Fabricate, assemble, and test pump and valves per customer requirements to ensure repair work meets specifications.
Assist in rigging of equipment throughout the ship and maintain safety certifications for related equipment.
Disassemble, assemble, clean, paint and inspect equipment using special tooling, measuring devices and visual inspection procedures.
Troubleshoot problems to determine root cause.
Install, align and op-test repaired equipment.
Assist in reviewing parts inventory by checking stock.
