About The Position

The Field Service Technician Apprentice plays a crucial role in supporting Arnold Machinery's commitment to uncompromised customer satisfaction by backing up and delivering on promises. With the comprehensive training provided, the apprentice will learn to maintain Arnold's standing as a leader in machinery support. This role involves repairing and maintaining mining equipment, traveling to various job sites, and performing a range of technical tasks to ensure equipment is in optimal working condition.

Requirements

Ability to use MICROSOFT EXCEL, WORD.
Effective written, verbal and interpersonal skills
Ability to use office machines (fax, copier, computer, etc)

Nice To Haves

Experience with other MS OFFICE programs helpful

Responsibilities

Repairing and maintaining mining equipment
Travel to various job sites
Disassemble, clean, and reassemble all mining equipment
Follow specifications and procedures in service manuals and select the designated tools
Measure and identify parts and components for reusability or replacement, ordering new parts as required
Use all test and diagnostic equipment available to make adjustments to machines and systems
Perform minor welding, fabrication, plumbing alignment, and D.C. electric repairs
Practice all good housekeeping and safety measures and procedures
Assist in the parts ordering process
Process revenue field service work orders, obtain purchase orders from customers
Open and close Work Orders
Take phone calls for service jobs
Communicate the job status, progress, and/or problems to the customer
Complete special projects as needed
Assist the Service Manager with various tasks
Maintain a clean workspace and/or truck
