About The Position

This role is responsible for leading a team of field service technicians to resolve technical product issues with customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, metal fabrication, mechanics, welding, construction, and transportation.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
  • Must possess a clean driving record with current license.
  • Proficient in various computer programs including MS Office products and dispatching systems.
  • An acceptable combination of education and experience.
  • Walking, sitting, or standing to a significant degree.
  • Ability to lift 70 pounds from floor to waist, carry 50 pounds, and push and/or pull up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to climb ladders and/or stairs.
  • Stooping, crouching, kneeling, and bending.
  • Handling, feeling, and gripping would be required for some activities.
  • Visual acuity is required to inspect work completed.
  • Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, make timely decisions in the context of a workflow, ability to communicate with visitors, ability to complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity quota.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree preferred.
  • 3 years recent oilfield experience strongly preferred.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on plumbing, electrical, fabrication, mechanics, welding, construction, and transportation experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises, hires, trains, and manages field technicians.
  • Acts as the primary training resource for the field team.
  • Responds to customer calls, assesses customer calls, makes decisions on appropriate action plans and dispatches service technicians to oilfield locations.
  • Works with customers to understand their needs, including pricing, information needed on invoices, contracts, work hours, new product ideas, product needs, and product improvements.
  • Travels as needed to customer sites.
  • Assists in handling customer disputes for billing.
  • Assists in developing procedures for the work being performed.
  • Assists in conducting safety meetings and assuring work is being done safely.
  • Verifies tickets are being filled out completely and accurately by field technicians.
  • Assists with inventory management of supplies and service parts.
  • Assists in developing and following a budget for the department.
  • Ensures employees have appropriate equipment, PPE, and resources to do their job.
  • Establishes schedules for inspecting and documenting all field services work.
  • Ensures full awareness of, and compliance with, the requirements of all relevant company/customer handbooks, procedures, safety, and emergency procedures.
  • Interacts with others in a professional manner.
  • Performs any other delegated duties considered appropriate to maintain the efficient running of the department.
  • Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a collaborative manner with customers, suppliers, co-workers, and management.
  • Supports and helps develop their team with professional development short- and long-term goals.
  • Helps the company meet its Strategic, Quality, and Safety objectives.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
