About The Position

The Field Service Representative (FSR) is required to become computer literate and able to learn and work with the Mobile Work Management Program used to manage customer service orders as well as learn to operate the meter reading equipment by the end of the probationary period. The applicant will need to work in an outdoor environment with exposure to weather-related heat and cold and related elements. The FSR will meet with customers regarding water service-related inquiries, read, set, remove, and replace water meters, and conduct investigations and inspections related to high water bills. They will also perform plumbing inspections, identify and report unmetered properties, and locate, access, and operate company equipment. Additionally, the role involves removing debris and water from company facilities, performing water service shut-offs, turn-offs, and turn-ons, completing and processing SAP work orders, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the safe and efficient operation of the water distribution system.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must be able to work in an outdoor environment with exposure to weather-related heat and cold and related elements.
  • A valid driver's license without restrictions is required.
  • Applicant may occasionally be required to lift/move over 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with customers regarding water service-related inquiries.
  • Read, set, remove, and replace water meters.
  • Conduct investigations and inspections related to high water bills.
  • Perform plumbing inspections as required.
  • Identify and report known or suspected unmetered properties.
  • Locate, access, and operate company equipment, including curb stops, gate valves, and shutoff valves.
  • Remove debris and water from company facilities, including meter pits, curb boxes, and valve boxes.
  • Perform water service shut-offs, turn-offs, and turn-ons.
  • Complete and process various SAP work orders.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to field activities.
  • Support safe and efficient operation of the water distribution system.
