About The Position

The Field Service Representative I (FSR I) position delivers outstanding field service to customers, supporting sales efforts by servicing, promoting, demonstrating, and training on various roofing systems, products, and accessories. This role ensures quality installations of Carlisle Construction Materials (CCM) products within a designated region or customer base. This job typically operates Monday – Friday, with occasional weekend work and travel. Anticipated Start Date: Monday, July 6, 2026

Requirements

  • Carlisle Construction Materials product specifications, applications, and company policies/procedures
  • General roofing and construction principles/practices
  • Safety protocols for roofing, hazardous materials, and driving
  • Familiarity with laptop, tablet, smartphone usage, and software tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CCM Inspect App)
  • Understanding of driving laws and company organization/locations
  • Communication (oral and written) with various stakeholders including managers, clients, and internal teams
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to interpret client concerns
  • Organizational skills, including independent scheduling and timely responses
  • Inspection and report documentation (CCM Inspect App, site visit reports, etc.)
  • Eye-hand coordination, typing, and use of hand/power tools
  • Efficient use of technology for communication and reporting
  • Independently manage tasks with a proactive and self-motivated approach
  • Adaptability to adjust schedules and respond to work demands
  • Safe and effective operation of tools and equipment related to roofing and construction
  • Bachelor’s degree or associate degree and 2 years` roofing or construction experience
  • 1 year of rooking or construction experience
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a satisfactory driving record in accordance with company policy.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and conduct inspections of completed roof installations (48 hours in advance). Inspect membrane, insulation, and flashing, document and complete necessary CCM reports. The inspection includes time allocated for contractor assistance, such as FSR support for minor repairs, to ensure project closure and approval.
  • Conduct Job Site Visits (JSVs) to oversee roofing system installations, schedule visits, and provide hands-on assistance. Utilize in-depth knowledge of specifications and roofing systems to communicate technical details effectively. Identify installation errors, recommend corrective measures to meet project specifications and warranty requirements, and ensure proper documentation through CCM reports.
  • Complete and submit forms, letters, and reports using current electronic methods, including standard CCM forms. This requires the ability to draft letters to roofers, building owners, architects, and consultants, outlining necessary corrective measures to meet project specifications and warranty requirements.
  • Provide telephone assistance to roofing applicators regarding project technical specifications and warranty requirements, demonstrating a thorough understanding of specifications and details. Communicate effectively with external parties and collaborate with internal CCM departments to address and resolve technical inquiries or issues.
  • Schedule and conduct training programs for CCM roofing applicators. Demonstrate and perform product and accessory installations, including splices, flashings, and insulation. Maintain a thorough understanding of specifications and details while effectively communicating installation methods to roofing foremen and crew members.
  • Mentor and train newly hired Field Service Representatives, complete FSR Trainee Report Cards, and submit feedback.
  • Schedule job start-ups with the contractor’s office and provide on-site training for crew members. Demonstrate system installation, including membrane layout, splicing, flashing, and insulation installation, while working in all outdoor dry weather conditions.
  • Conduct investigations or spot checks for minor warranty claims to determine the root cause of leaks or issues when possible. Complete standard investigation reports to accurately communicate findings to the Warranty Services Project Manager/ Regional Technical Manager.
  • Ensure scheduled vehicle maintenance is performed properly.
  • Support field service activities for other Carlisle groups, including splice sampling, sample collection, and issue investigations.
