About The Position

We are looking for a talented Field Service Power Generation Technician to join our team specializing in Power Generation in Odessa, TX. In this role, you will make an impact by completing preventative maintenance and/or basic repair activities on generators or components at the customer site with minimal direction. You will engage with customers in a courteous and professional manner, apply the use of specialized tools and follow documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete basic repairs, including preparing required parts and tools. You will also complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims via handwritten forms or business system input screens, and complete training in line with skill and business requirements. Adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reporting any issues/incidents to your supervisor is also a key part of this role.

Requirements

  • Basic repair skills on generators or components.
  • Ability to engage with customers courteously and professionally.
  • Proficiency in using specialized tools.
  • Ability to follow documented procedures and policies.
  • Skill in preparing required parts and tools.
  • Ability to complete required documentation (service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims).
  • Willingness to complete training.
  • Adherence to Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation.
  • Ability to maintain service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.

Responsibilities

  • Completing preventative maintenance and/or basic repair activities on generators or components at the customer site with minimal direction.

  • Ensuring prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.
  • Escalating unresolved issues to more experienced Field Service Technicians and/or Supervisor.
  • Performing preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on power generation products in the field.
  • Maintaining service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
  • Ensuring adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation.
