About The Position

American Hydro is seeking a Field Service Millwright to join their team in York, PA. This role involves installing equipment, repairing machinery, and transferring equipment to different locations. The Millwright will work in various settings, adhering to safety and environmental regulations, and ensuring all machines operate correctly by reviewing and following technical manuals.

Requirements

• Associate degree with one to two years related experience OR High School degree with 5 years millwright or similar experience
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Able to assemble, move, set up, and dismantle tools and machinery
• Comfortable using large equipment such as cranes and trucks
• Familiar with a variety of tools and equipment
• Ability to read blueprints and diagrams to properly install and repair machines
• Safety minded with ability to follow and contribute to the safety precautions of machinery
• Hands on and proactive problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and plan work in accordance with established schedules
• Proficient in the use of reading precision measurement equipment

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site mechanical labor
• Complete personal expense reports weekly as required
• Completes and submits project documentation per the contract requirements as directed by the site FSR
• Inspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect malfunctions
• Testing machinery and equipment to ensure proper functioning
• Repairing, replacing, and maintaining parts and systems
