About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Manager to lead field service operations supporting steam turbine maintenance, repairs, and overhaul projects. This role is responsible for managing field service teams, coordinating outage and maintenance activities, ensuring operational excellence, maintaining regulatory compliance, and delivering exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will oversee technical field service advisors, turbine mechanics, and third-party contractors while driving safety, quality, project execution, and continuous improvement across field operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience managing field service operations within the power generation, rotating equipment, or industrial services industry.
  • Strong experience supporting steam turbine maintenance, repair, inspections, and overhaul projects.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing field service personnel, contractors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience planning and executing outage, maintenance, and overhaul projects.
  • Strong understanding of industrial safety regulations, HSE programs, and quality management systems.
  • Experience working with both union and non-union labor environments.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot steam turbines and related rotating equipment.
  • Knowledge of turbine maintenance, repair methodologies, and overhaul best practices.
  • Strong stakeholder management and customer relationship skills.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, leadership, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard project reporting tools.
  • Minimum 10 years in direct Field Service (steam turbine/rotating equipment domain)
  • Proven people-management experience — has directly managed field advisors/turbine mechanics/contractors (not just worked alongside them)
  • Steam turbine (or closely adjacent rotating equipment/power plant) maintenance, repair, and overhaul experience
  • Experience managing both union and non-union crews
  • HSE/regulatory compliance ownership experience (not just following protocols — has built/enforced them)
  • Direct client-facing experience (primary POC responsibility, not just support role)

Nice To Haves

  • Class A Contractor License or the ability to obtain required licensing is preferred.
  • Experience supporting industrial rotating equipment, power generation facilities, or steam turbine service organizations.
  • Knowledge of business development, sales processes, and customer service operations within industrial services.
  • Strong techno-commercial understanding of service operations and project execution.
  • Familiarity with industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer requirements within the power generation sector.
  • Spanish language proficiency is considered an advantage.
  • Class A contractor license holder, or demonstrably meets licensing criteria
