About The Position

Primary responsibilities will consist of loading and unloading pumps, hoses, and other pump-related accessories on and off Cogent delivery trucks and third-party freight carriers, as well as working with our rental field install teams to assist in delivery, installation, teardown, and pick up of customer jobs. You will also maintain a clean and orderly rental equipment yard to enable the safe and efficient movement of motorized loading equipment. Training and support will be provided to you in performing the aforementioned responsibilities. Requirements

  • High school diploma is required
  • Experience working outdoors in a hands-on, field-based position
  • General mechanical aptitude
  • Experience operating heavy industrial equipment
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Ability to meet the assigned company’s regulatory insurance requirements for owned autos determined through Motor Vehicle Record Check (MVR)
  • OSHA 10 Hour
  • Standing and walking for long durations, which could exceed 8 hours in a day
  • Using hands and fingers to control, handle and feel objects
  • Seeing details of objects from a distance
  • Entering confined spaces
  • Climbing stairs and walking on uneven terrain
  • Squatting and crawling
  • Lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 75 pounds when necessary
  • Ability to read and comprehend work instructions, correspondences, and memos.
  • Ability to write correspondences.
  • Ability to effectively present information.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Ability to interpret and manipulate general computer software programs.
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit number and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
  • Ability to perform these operations using unity of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to read a ruler to 1/16”
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one-or two-step instructions.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pull hose, pipe, fittings and pumps to fulfill service, rental and sales contracts.
  • Utilize motorized equipment handling machinery to safely load equipment on and off trucks and trailers.
  • Assist in securing load utilizing straps and chains.
  • Ensure yard and loading areas are clear of debris and trash; accessories and equipment are organized and easy to access.
  • Follow all safety processes and procedures and maintain a Safety-First approach when completing daily work tasks.
  • Travels locally as needed to assist with mobilization/demobilization of pump systems on customer job sites.
  • Assists in connecting pipelines, setting pumps, and dismantling applications when the project is complete.
  • All other duties relevant to field service work as assigned.
