Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field is preferred. Non-technical degrees or experience in lieu of a degree will be considered if the candidate has 12+ years in engine/aircraft maintenance, logistics, and logistics support. This includes supply chain management and Support Equipment management.
  • A minimum of 8+ years of professional experience (with a degree) in engine/aircraft maintenance, logistics, and logistics support is required. This includes supply chain management and Support Equipment management.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued secret security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a secret clearance.
  • Position requires up to 50% Travel.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
  • Experience in F-35/F135 Production, Flight Test, CSE, Maintenance, and/or Program Management
  • F135 FSE Proficiency Level 4
  • Prior military service in aircraft maintenance and/or logistics
  • Proven interpersonal, leadership and teaming abilities
  • Familiarity with CORE tools and processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Assigned to the Vermont Air National Guard (VT ANG) to directly support the day-to-day flying operations ensuring propulsion availability.
  • Coordinate F135 propulsion system maintenance activities with the P&W team, flight line operating areas, squadron, and Lockheed Martin maintenance operating areas.
  • Perform controls activities related to aircraft download processing and analysis, propulsion system software loads, activations and monitoring of propulsion system Prognostic Health Monitoring, Engine Health Reporting Codes, and Maintenance Built In Test Systems (MBITS).
  • Advise and assist the Customer in performance of F135 propulsion system maintenance, ensuring activities are performed in accordance with technical data and safe engine operation and maintenance procedures.
  • Activities include fault isolation/troubleshooting and F135 repair actions consistent with the F135 Unit Level Maintenance Concept.
  • When not supporting the Vermont Air National Guard, provide short‑notice Domestic and International backfill with ability to quickly adapt to local processes and standards to support F135 customers.
  • Extended periods of domestic and international travel are expected to support customer detachments and deployments.
  • Must be able to work autonomously as the sole FSE and rotate between first and second shift schedules to provide customer support and meet team objectives.
