About The Position

This assignment has a minimum 3-year in-country commitment; maximum 5-years in-country. This will be a re-activation of this position on base. Support F-35A/F135 operations to include systems, tooling, material, and processes; the FSE will have hands-on interaction with the engine (software and hardware), aircraft and RNoAF Squadron personnel. Perform controls activities related to aircraft download processing and analysis and monitoring of propulsion system Prognostic Health Monitoring, Engine Health Reporting Codes, and Maintenance Built In Test Systems (MBITS). Advise and assist the Customer in performance of F135 propulsion system maintenance, ensuring activities are performed in accordance with technical data and safe engine operation and maintenance procedures. Coordinate F135 propulsion system maintenance activities with the PW team, the RNoAF, and Lockheed Martin. Collaborate regularly with internal PW teams (Customer Support Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Center, ALIS teams, etc.) in troubleshooting and resolution of emerging Customer issues and maintain flexibility to adapt to and resolve constantly changing Customer priorities. Ensure comprehensive reporting on support activities including aircraft and engine status, flight reports, operational data, engine configuration status and parts consumption. Support Government Property Management processes for program execution, to include but not limited to Support Equipment (SE), tooling, supply and Government processes. Provide timely insight to PW management relative to emerging issues and ongoing relationship with this valued PW Customer.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required. Non-technical degrees will be considered if the candidate has appropriate / related experience.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in aircraft gas turbine engine maintenance, logistics, or logistics support. This includes Supply Chain management and Support Equipment management.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Must be willing to travel to contested areas and environments during deployments.
  • Must be able to support an assignment length of 3+ years, dependent on business needs and personal development.
  • Must be able to support occasional off-shift coverage and/or extended hours during deployments.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or a technical field.
  • Experience with aviation maintenance and production information systems, to include Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) / OBPHM, as well as knowledge of turbine engine theory and operation.
  • Experience in F-35/F135 production, flight testing, Customer support, maintenance, and/or program management.
  • Familiarity with Global Trade Compliance/Export requirements and strong CORE leadership are desirable.
  • Prior military service in maintenance/logistics also a plus.
