About The Position

This position is for a high-performance industrial maintenance technician or plant maintenance professional looking to transition into a field service role with state-wide regional travel. The role involves supporting growth and service in the US, specifically for high-speed equipment maintenance such as injection molding, blow molding, or packaging equipment. It is a remote position based from a home office, requiring travel to client plants in the regional territory using a company-issued vehicle.

Requirements

Experience in the operation and maintenance of one of injection molding, blow molding, thermoforming, extrusion or packaging ie. filing machines and be capable in all aspects of the equipment; Electronic, mechanical and hydraulics.
Be familiar with the lifting and moving of heavy equipment and the required safety procedures for same.
Be computer literate in the use of online programs such as excel, word etc.
Be able to communicate readily with a wide variety of customers.
Be willing to travel.
Be able to work in a non-supervised environment and be reactive be self-starting and demonstrate a “can do” attitude.

Responsibilities

Installation of newly purchased plastic molding machines at customer locations across the US. This would include supervising the rigging in of the machine into the facility, leveling and connecting the equipment to a ready state.
Travel to customer sites as needed to solve issues or assist with problem solving and/or training.
Focus on developing a respectful and cooperative relationship with customers to gain their trust and support.
Work with customers to support their need for spare parts and preventative maintenance programs.
