About The Position
Responsible for service and maintenance of ion beam based manufacturing equipment. This includes installing new systems, upgrading existing systems, diagnosing problems and repairing equipment, and performing preventative maintenance and warranty support. The role also involves training customers in machine usage and maintenance.
Requirements
- BS degree in Engineering or Physics
- Experience maintaining and repairing manufacturing equipment
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
- Ability to interface with customers respectfully and politely
- Good problem solving skills
- Willingness to travel 30 – 50%
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in semiconductor or optics fabricators with ion beam or plasma based process manufacturing equipment such as IBE, RIE, IBD, PVD, CVD, etc.
- Familiarity with Ion Beam Sources, Plasma Sources, Neutralizers
- Familiarity with Power supplies, RF and Microwave Generators
- Familiarity with Electrical controls, PLC’s
- Familiarity with PC’s, RAID systems, SQL databases, SECS/GEM interface
- Familiarity with Vacuum pumps, valves, gauges
- Familiarity with Gas delivery systems, RGAs
- Familiarity with Linear and rotary actuators, motor controllers, Hydraulics
- Familiarity with VCE, wafer handling robots, code readers
