About The Position

Aquatech is seeking a full-time Field Service Engineer for its Integrated Water Services (IWS) division. This role involves providing field service to domestic and international customers, including startup and troubleshooting of water treatment plants and equipment. The engineer will also supervise and advise customers on maintenance, prepare daily reports, identify business opportunities, and act as a technical advisor. Collaboration with engineering disciplines, feedback on lessons learned, and modifications to PLC/HMI programs are key aspects. The position also includes supervising site activities like media and RO membrane loading, training customer staff, and participating in in-house activities such as preparing engineering documents and programming. Visits to vendor sites for inspection and testing are also part of the role. Travel up to 60% of the time may be necessary.

Requirements

  • Excellent computer skills (EXCEL, Word, etc)
  • Ability to travel to customer sites for extended periods.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Bachelor's / Associate’s degree in Chemical / Environmental engineering or Elect and Controls, Mechanical engineering
  • 1 - 7 years’ experience in a process industry or process engineering firm
  • Basic knowledge of industrial safety is necessary
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and control systems is preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with water treatment equipment such as filters, RO, clarifiers, Ion Exchange, and wastewater treatment is highly preferred
  • Basic knowledge of pumps, valve,s and instrumentation and controls is preferred
  • Experience in programming of PLC and HMI is highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Provide field service to Aquatech’s customers (domestic and international)
  • Startup and troubleshooting of water treatment plants and equipment
  • Supervision and providing maintenance advice to customers
  • Prepare daily reports on activities at customer sites
  • Map additional business opportunities at customer sites
  • Be a technical adviser to our customers
  • Work closely with all engineering disciplines to support customers
  • Provide feedback to engineering teams on lessons learned for future improvements
  • Carry out modifications to PLC and HMI programs under guidance from the home office
  • Supervise site activities such as filter media and RO membrane loading
  • Provide training to customer staff on plant operation and maintenance
  • Participate in in-house activities such as preparing engineering documents, schedules, and programming PLC and HMI equipment
  • Assist in developing proposals
  • Make visits to vendor sites for inspection and testing
