About The Position

Providing system level technical support to the U.S. Navy's Ship's Signal Exploitation Equipment (SSEE) Family of Systems. This includes troubleshooting, identifying, recommending resolutions, and performing corrective actions on these systems. The role also involves providing distance troubleshooting/help desk support via Internet Relay Chat Services and E-mail, tracking Casualty Reports (CASREPs) and Distance Support Actions, and performing Technical Feedback Report (TFBR) reviews for 3M preventive maintenance. Additionally, the position requires performing system level testing to validate operational readiness, reviewing Technical Manuals (TMs) and procedural documents for technical accuracy, and reviewing system training materials and System and Installation Drawings for technical accuracy and validity. A key aspect of the role is providing formal shipboard and classroom training to user technicians.

Requirements

  • The ability to lift equipment greater than thirty pounds (30 lbs) and qualify for health screenings as required by U.S. Navy Safety Programs Afloat is required
  • Candidates must be skilled with the proper use of a variety of test equipment including time domain reflectometers, spectrum and vector network analyzers, signal generators, frequency counters, oscilloscopes, and digital multi-meters
  • Candidates are expected to possess excellent oral, written, and presentation skills
  • Candidates must possess a strong maintenance background, familiarity with Unix/Linux systems troubleshooting, low-level systems administration experience, or Radio Frequency (RF) testing experience
  • Consideration will be given provided they exhibit the ability to train to the aforementioned responsibilities
  • A minimum of four years of Navy Shipboard Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) system maintenance, or equivalent experience is required
  • Shipboard systems may include but are not limited to Ship's Signal Exploitation Equipment (SSEE) Increment E/F, Cooperative Outboard Logistics Upgrade (COBLU), COMBAT Direction Finding (CDF), Classic Troll, Integrated Submarine Communications Receiving System (ISCRS), and Cryptologic Carry-On Program (CCOP) systems like Advanced Cryptologic Carry-On Exploitation Equipment (ACCES), Hostile Forces Integrated Targeting Service (HITS), STINGRAY, DRT, or BLUESTREAM
  • U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TOP SECRET / SCI LEVEL

Nice To Haves

  • Navy CTM "A" and CTM "C" schools are preferred but not required if the candidate has relevant/documented On-the-Job Training (OJT) experience
  • 8-10 years of technical experience is preferred
