About The Position

We are looking for a talented Field Service Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in (Downey, CA). This role serves as the primary customer support contact to diagnose and execute complex repairs on engine products at the customer’s site. The technician will complete repairs on engine products in a service shop, perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools, and maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles. Adherence to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies and ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products are expected. The technician is also responsible for maintaining their own tools.

Requirements

Minimum 5 yrs experience
Knowledge of Cummins Engines and repair practices
Engine knowledge includes Diesel, Nat Gas and EV products
Knowledge of Cummins warranty policies and procedures
Computer literate (Insite, QSOL, MS Office, Teams, Accelera)
Ability to communicate detailed troubleshooting and repair results both internal and external
A current valid license is required for this role
Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience
This role requires a 5-year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.
A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire
Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older
