About The Position

We are looking for a talented Field Service Diesel Engine Technician to join our team specializing in engine repairs for our Distribution Business in Odessa, TX. In this role, you will make an impact by completing repairs and rebuilds on engine products in the field, developing productive customer relations, and ensuring prompt and efficient attention to customer needs. You will apply documented procedures and policies to complete repairs and schedule maintenance, including preparing required parts and tools. You will also assist with completing required documentation, such as work completed documentation, time sheets, warranty claims and quality forms, via handwritten forms or business system input screens. You will complete training in line with skill and business requirements and ensure adherence to all meaningful Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and report any issues / incidents to your supervisor.

Requirements

  • Field Service Diesel Engine Technician experience
  • Experience in engine repairs
  • Ability to complete repairs and rebuilds on engine products in the field
  • Ability to develop productive customer relations
  • Ability to ensure prompt and efficient attention to customer needs
  • Ability to apply documented procedures and policies to complete repairs and schedule maintenance
  • Ability to prepare required parts and tools
  • Ability to complete required documentation, such as work completed documentation, time sheets, warranty claims and quality forms, via handwritten forms or business system input screens
  • Willingness to complete training in line with skill and business requirements
  • Knowledge of Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation
  • Ability to engage customers in a courteous and professional manner
  • Ability to anticipate and ensure prompt and efficient attention to customer needs
  • Ability to use specialized tools and follow documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete less complex repairs
  • Ability to identify and prepare required parts and tools
  • Ability to perform preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on engine and related components in the field
  • Ability to escalate unresolved issues to more experienced Field Service Technicians and/or Supervisor
  • Ability to identify additional service opportunities with customer
  • Ability to maintain service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation
