About The Position

Bloom Energy is seeking a Field Service Apprentice for a fixed term of approximately six months or 1,200 hours, from October 2026 through March 2027. The role is based in Ada County, Idaho, and reports to the Field Service Regional Manager. The apprentice will learn to maintain Bloom Energy servers and support their performance and reliability, while gaining training in fuel cell systems and related electrical and mechanical systems. The work includes maintenance, site upkeep, safety practices, troubleshooting, and issue resolution in a dynamic setting, both independently and as part of a team. Shift work and travel for training may be needed.

Requirements

Be enrolled in an electrical apprenticeship program.
Have strong mechanical and troubleshooting aptitude.
Have a basic understanding of safe work requirements and basic troubleshooting techniques.
Be highly motivated and able to work independently.
Demonstrate sound judgment and integrity and professionalism in all situations.
Be a team player.
Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, to perform job duties.
Be able to lift 45–50 pounds, work at heights, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

Experience with test and measurement equipment, electrical codes, and personnel safety products and procedures.

Responsibilities
