About The Position

STS360, a leader in security located here in Dallas specializing in the Public Sector’s State, Local, and Educational physical security needs, is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our team! You will be supporting the existing field team with commissioning, de-commissioning and maintenance of mobile surveillance trailers and security equipment in Texas and surrounding states. Field Technicians will assist the Operations Manager and work alongside our Lead Service Technician to maintain the inventory of our mobile surveillance trailers and supply/parts inventory to ensure that inventory is up to date and available while adhering to company quality, safety, and customer standards of excellence. Field Service Technicians support and work as a team in the installation and maintenance of hardware, software, and other systems in-house or at customer locations. Responsibilities also include troubleshooting issues with equipment such as switches, desktop computers, IP cameras, UPS power backups, physical security equipment and computer servers. Run software updates backups when requested.

Requirements

  • Must be able to read technical documents, drawings, and prints.
  • Must be able to terminate access control cables and devices.
  • Must have good communication skills, attention to detail and be able to work under little to no supervision.
  • Must have experience with IP based systems, physical security software installation, and hardware programming.
  • Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the professional service of access control, CCTV, and motion/intrusion/alarm systems. Additionally train and explain solutions to Partners for future reference.
  • Diagnose variable issues on Partner systems and provide accurate diagnostic reports to the Service Coordinator. May require working on a variety of different systems.
  • Ensures Partner systems are programmed to the highest standard and organized to work well for the client. Often includes customized programming to meet specific Partner needs.
  • Respectfully communicates with all local Partner and internal staff on daily progress and all necessary information on any service call.
  • Completes service close out documentation, including Partner meetings/walkthroughs. Documents service quality and complete all required close out documents for invoicing.
