About The Position

This field-based role supports the launch of a new delivery partner program by recruiting local businesses across targeted Illinois markets. You will visit prospective merchants, present the program’s value, guide them through the application process, and help build a strong pipeline of qualified partners. Working closely with a Field Manager and other local contractors, you will drive outreach, coordinate community-based recruitment events, and maintain accurate records in Salesforce. The position involves regular travel of up to a two-hour driving radius and offers uncapped commission based on partner conversions.

Requirements

  • 1–2+ years of experience in sales and/or customer service.
  • Proven outside or field sales experience, including door-to-door or in-person business outreach.
  • Experience using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system; Salesforce experience is preferred and strongly valued.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and trust quickly with business owners and decision makers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain program benefits and next steps.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a sales pipeline, track activities, and follow up consistently with prospects.
  • Ability to travel up to approximately four hours round trip on a daily basis within the assigned territory.
  • Comfort working with Excel and importing data into CRM systems on a regular basis.
  • High level of professionalism and a strong sense of urgency in responding to prospects and managing deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems for applicants in the field.
  • Tech-savvy mindset with experience working with multiple systems and technology tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in roles that involved sales negotiations with customers is a plus.
  • Additional 1–2 years of experience in sales and/or customer service beyond the minimum requirement is beneficial.
  • Field sales experience beyond the required baseline is considered a strong asset.
  • Enthusiasm for working with others and contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new processes, tools, and program updates.

Responsibilities

  • Visit prospective businesses door to door in targeted towns within approximately a two-hour driving distance to promote the delivery partner program.
  • Present and pitch the new program opportunity to prospective businesses in a clear, compelling way to generate interest and encourage applications.
  • Qualify prospective businesses based on program criteria and guide them step-by-step through the application process.
  • Lead outreach activities and manage a robust pipeline of prospects and applicants using Salesforce, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.
  • Support the Field Manager in planning, coordinating, and hosting recruitment events in the community, such as lunch-and-learn sessions and town hall meetings.
  • Collaborate with the Field Manager to build relationships with local influencers and organizations, including chambers of commerce and economic development associations, to drive referrals and expand outreach.
  • Import and update Excel spreadsheets into Salesforce on a weekly basis to maintain organized and reliable data.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to prospective partners by answering questions, addressing concerns, and helping them solve problems encountered during the application process.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues that applicants experience in the field, ensuring a smooth and positive onboarding journey.
  • Consistently raise the bar for the delivery experience by helping recruit partners capable of operating in complex last-mile delivery scenarios.
  • Travel regularly within the assigned territory, managing your daily schedule to balance on-the-road outreach with administrative and follow-up tasks.
  • Work collaboratively with other local contractors and internal stakeholders to share insights, best practices, and feedback from the field.
