About The Position

The Remote Sales Specialist independently contacts prospective and existing customers by phone and other approved remote channels to present Verizon Wireless products and services, convert assigned leads, and achieve established sales goals. The role manages a defined lead pipeline, provides an accurate and professional customer experience, and maintains timely sales and activity records while working in a remote environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Ability to conduct persuasive, customer-focused sales conversations and ask effective discovery questions.
Strong verbal and written communication, active listening, interpersonal, and objection-handling skills.
Ability to work independently, manage time, prioritize follow-up activity, and meet measurable goals in a remote environment.
Proficiency using a computer and common business applications, including email, spreadsheets, virtual meeting tools, and customer or lead-management systems.
Ability to learn and accurately communicate product, service, pricing, promotional, and process information.
Demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, sound judgment, adaptability, and a strong work ethic.
Ability to work remotely from an approved location with a workspace that supports confidentiality, productivity, and professional customer interactions.
Reliable high-speed internet service that meets company and client technical requirements.
Ability to use company-provided or company-approved computer, telephone, headset, security, and connectivity tools, as applicable.
Ability to remain connected, responsive, and available during assigned working hours and to follow remote-work, information-security, and data-privacy requirements.
This role is primarily performed in a remote office environment and requires extended periods of computer and telephone use.
The employee must be able to communicate effectively, operate standard office technology, and perform repetitive keyboard and mouse activity.
The role may require occasional movement or lifting of standard office equipment or materials weighing up to 15 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Prior customer-facing sales, telesales, inside sales, retail, business-to-business, telecommunications, or comparable experience preferred.
Bilingual capability may be preferred or required based on business necessity.

Responsibilities

Contact assigned leads through approved phone, email, or virtual channels and conduct needs-based sales conversations.
Explain product and service options accurately, respond to customer questions, address objections, and close eligible sales in accordance with approved sales practices.
Achieve established weekly and monthly sales, conversion, productivity, and quality goals.
Manage lead follow-up activity and maintain accurate, timely records of customer contacts, outcomes, and next steps in designated systems.
Communicate clearly with prospects, customers, leaders, and internal client teams to support sales execution and resolve routine issues.
Follow approved scripts, pricing, promotions, disclosures, privacy requirements, and client or company policies.
Participate in virtual meetings, sales coaching, training, and performance discussions.
Maintain a professional, secure, and distraction-controlled remote work environment and remain accessible during scheduled work hours.
Escalate customer, system, or compliance concerns through established channels.
Perform other job-related duties consistent with the purpose and level of the position.
