About The Position

BSN SPORTS, a Varsity Brands Company, is the largest team sporting goods equipment and apparel distributor in the United States with over 50 years of experience. Our 3,000 employees are dedicated to supporting the Heart of the Game by providing excellent service platforms that save coaches and administrators time, allowing them to focus on impacting young lives. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Salt Lake City, Utah, operating between a home office and field-based environments, requiring 2-5 days per week in the territory. The position involves managing local client relationships and maximizing sales opportunities within the assigned territory. Hours may vary, and evenings and weekends may be required. Travel is primarily local to schools and organizations within the territory, with potential for some out-of-the-area and overnight travel.

Requirements

High level of self-direction and autonomy in managing tasks, projects, and responsibilities.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Proficiently prioritize and manage tasks, demonstrating strong time management skills.
Intermediate skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and CRM.
Ability to cultivate a distraction-free in-home office environment.
3+ years' business-to-business (B2B) outside sales experience (preferably in sporting goods) OR coaching/sports-related background.
Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Must have and maintain a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

Optimize the full cycle sales in your assigned territory and service customers.
Represent Varsity Brands by demonstrating company core values and upholding the highest ethical standards.
Provide best-in-class, consultative customer service to coaches, aiming to make their lives easier.
Generate revenue and meet sales/growth targets.
Actively develop and qualify leads within the territory through cold-calling and lead generation campaigns.
Handle rejection and demonstrate persistence in turning challenges into opportunities.
Navigate multiple functions within the company’s CRM, including prospecting, account management, and activity tracking.
Increase sales in existing accounts by selling to all sports at all levels.
Utilize data-driven business intelligence on prospects to identify new trends and opportunities.
Manage your account list and travel on location within your assigned territory.
