About The Position

BSN SPORTS, a Varsity Brands Company, is the largest team sporting goods equipment and apparel distributor in the United States with over 50 years of experience. Our 3,000 employees are dedicated to supporting the Heart of the Game by providing excellent service platforms that save coaches and administrators time, allowing them to focus more on impacting young lives. This role is a full-time, hybrid position operating between a home office, schools, communities, and event environments within the Midland, Texas territory. The Field Sales Professional is responsible for managing the full sales cycle in their assigned territory and providing consultative customer service to coaches, generating revenue, and meeting sales targets. The role requires a high degree of self-direction, excellent communication and organizational skills, and proficiency in CRM and Microsoft Office Suite.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate a high level of self-direction and autonomy in managing tasks, projects, and responsibilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiently prioritize and manage tasks, demonstrating strong time management skills.
  • Intermediate skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and CRM.
  • Cultivate an in-home office environment that is distraction-free.
  • 3+ years' business-to-business (B2B) outside sales experience (preferably in sporting goods) OR coaching/sports-related background.
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Must have and maintain a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a satisfactory driving record.

  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide best-in-class, consultative customer service to coaches across an assigned territory.
  • Generate revenue and meet sales/growth targets.
  • Actively develop and qualify leads within respective territory to drive additional sales opportunities through cold-calling and lead generation campaigns.
  • Navigate multiple functions within the company’s CRM, including but not limited to prospecting, account management, and activity tracking.
  • Increase sales in existing accounts by selling to all sports at all levels.
  • Utilize data-driven business intelligence on prospects to identify new trends and opportunities.
  • Manage your account list and travel on location within your assigned territory.
