About The Position

BSN SPORTS, a Varsity Brands Company, is the largest team sporting goods equipment and apparel distributor in the United States with over 50 years of experience. Our mission is to support the Heart of the Game by saving coaches and administrators time through excellent service platforms, allowing them more time to impact young lives. This Field Sales Professional role is a full-time, hybrid position requiring the individual to live and travel within the Harrisburg, PA territory 2-5 days per week. The role operates in a hybrid environment between a home office, school, community, and event settings. The primary focus is territory sales, managing local client relationships, and maximizing sales opportunities.

Requirements

High level of self-direction and autonomy in managing tasks, projects, and responsibilities.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Proficiently prioritize and manage tasks, demonstrating strong time management skills.
Intermediate skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and CRM.
Ability to cultivate a distraction-free home office environment.
3+ years' business-to-business (B2B) outside sales experience (preferably in sporting goods) OR coaching/sports-related background.
Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Must have and maintain a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

Serve as a consultative partner to schools, club select and travel programs, youth leagues, YMCA organizations, and other community-based athletic programs within the assigned territory.
Drive full-cycle sales execution, including proactive prospecting, lead generation, account management, and post-sale service.
Deliver best-in-class support to simplify operations for coaches and program leaders.
Leverage CRM tools, data insights, and disciplined territory planning to identify growth opportunities.
Expand multi-sport penetration within existing accounts and build a strong pipeline of new business.
Engage consistently in-person, manage strong relationships, and adhere to ethical standards to position BSN Sports as a trusted, long-term partner.
Provide consultative customer service to coaches across an assigned territory.
Generate revenue and meet sales/growth targets.
Actively develop and qualify leads within the territory through cold-calling and lead generation campaigns.
Increase sales in existing accounts by selling to all sports at all levels.
Utilize data-driven business intelligence on prospects to identify new trends and opportunities.
Manage account lists and travel on location within the assigned territory.
