About The Position

General Motors is hiring students for its Customer Care and Aftersales (CCA) Field Sales Operations Internship Program for Summer 2027. This full-time, 12-week, project-based internship introduces students to the District Manager, Parts and Service (DMPS) role and provides hands-on experience supporting dealers and contributing to the growth of GM’s parts and service business across the United States. Each intern is assigned to one of five Sales, Service and Marketing regions: Northeast, Southeast, North Central, South Central, or Western. Interns learn alongside District Managers and Zone Managers through field visits, dealer interactions, business projects, and mentorship. The program includes regional immersion, travel within the assigned territory, and a required two-week Central Office immersion in Warren, Michigan, where interns learn how CCA teams work with field teams and other functions to support dealers and the customer experience. Interns also participate in a Wholesale and ACDelco Market Area Manager experience and complete a capstone project addressing a regional business opportunity. Interns are based at the designated regional office when not traveling and are expected to travel frequently, including at least 75% according to the Work Arrangement section. The role requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to legally operate a motor vehicle. GM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this position. A one-time taxable stipend may be provided to eligible students to help facilitate relocation benefits; relocation benefits are available to candidates who qualify under company policy.
