About The Position

Wonderful Sales is seeking a Field Sales Merchandiser to join their team, focusing on increasing brand awareness for The Wonderful Company's household brands like Wonderful Pistachios, POM Wonderful, and Wonderful Halos within grocery stores. This is a full-time position based in the Pasadena, Baytown, or Beaumont, TX area, offering a Monday to Friday work schedule starting at 7 am and including a company car with a gas card.

Requirements

Proven retail sales success promoting grocery store products.
Ability to form partnerships with store and produce managers, preferably in food and beverage.
Capability to provide compelling rationales to store management for product display and purchase decisions.
Prior experience and understanding of managing a large store territory and daily drive time.
Excellent selling, negotiation, and partnership-building skills.
Detail-oriented, goal-minded, and problem-solving abilities while working independently.
Enjoy working with people and applying effective interpersonal and time management skills.
Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Clean driving record.
Ability to lift 50lbs.
Capability to work early mornings with a 7 am start time.
Live within territory boundaries.
Travel to Los Angeles, CA 3-4 times a year is required.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain relationships with over 60 grocery retail stores within an assigned territory of 100+ miles.
Determine optimal product placement and build/move displays to maximize sales of Wonderful brand products.
Rotate and stock authorized company products during store visits.
Maintain schematic integrity during re-merchandising projects, including store openings and remodels.
Build and maintain relationships with retailer personnel and supervisors to improve account penetration.
Sell, up-sell, and maintain retail distribution of all headquarter-authorized products within the assigned territory.
Accurately record data using company hand-held devices.
Execute, maintain, and monitor company marketing initiatives and programs, including POS, coupon, and tie-in programs.
Provide chain-specific information and daily communication.
