About The Position

SUMMARY: Responsible for managing sales, staff training, and developing specific business plans; implementing account and Company procedures; bringing effective solutions for complex business issues; and possessing the ability to utilize effective techniques to stimulate sales growth for assigned accounts. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Develop and provide strategic leadership/input to staff. Follow specific company guidelines regarding pricing structures related to specific customer accounts, with ability to understand and identify customer requirements. Ability to explain and interpret Customer Marketing Agreement and other programs to customer and sales team. Assist in negotiation of contracts. Adhere to Company standards to protect Company integrity. Maintain contact with Sales Manager and Leadership Team to communicate sales strategy and direction. Evaluate/compare pricing and other programs with those of other customers by analyzing other plans, surveys, and other information. Maintain assigned account files and records. Prepare/file reports on issues with customer location. Implement and manage Company Merchandising Standards. Ensure that the account meets Company Merchandising Standards related to product supply and rotation. Maintain account specific data and sales history on palm unit, to include inventory control and account management information. Log daily sales calls, appointments, and office time. Create correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documentation as required by position. Meet customer service expectations through daily communication, problem solving, and appropriate follow-up. Maintain professional team relationship with co-workers and customers with whom contact is made. Communicate account activities to designated parties. Complete required paperwork daily for assigned accounts. Participate in sales team meetings. Develop and follow store visitation rotational schedule. Follow management weekend rotational schedule. Train, evaluate, and develop team members. Other tasks as assigned by Management. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with one (1) to three (3) years sales experience.
  • Ability to read.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions supplied in both written and verbal format.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook).
  • Valid CDL driver’s license, current vehicle liability insurance, and driving record within Company MVR policy guidelines.
  • Ability to operate a manual/powered pallet jack to lift/move product.
  • Valid driver’s license, current liability insurance, and driving record within company MVR policy standards.
  • Must be able to use personal vehicle during normal business hours.
