About The Position

The Field Sales Manager will be responsible for new business development, territory management, distributor partnerships, and brand execution within the Austin and Central Texas region. This role involves prospecting and opening new independent retail accounts, building relationships with decision-makers, executing sales strategies, and managing a sales pipeline. The Field Sales Manager will also be responsible for territory routing, account visits, developing growth plans, and working with distributor sales teams to drive opportunities. Additionally, the role requires ensuring proper brand execution, merchandising, and conducting retail activations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in outside sales, preferably within the beverage, CPG, alcohol, tobacco, vape, smoke, or wellness industries, and possess strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Minimum 1 year of outside sales experience.
  • Proven success in new account acquisition and territory development.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and perform retail merchandising activities.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent sales experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and open new independent retail accounts throughout Austin and Central Texas.
  • Develop relationships with decision-makers in convenience stores, smoke shops, vape shops, liquor stores, specialty retailers, and independent grocery accounts.
  • Execute cold calls, sales presentations, and product education sessions.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through daily prospecting activities.
  • Identify competitive opportunities and convert new accounts to Mitra9 products.
  • Execute a structured territory routing plan to maximize account coverage and sales productivity.
  • Conduct regular account visits and maintain detailed CRM documentation.
  • Develop account growth plans focused on increasing distribution, velocity, and reorder frequency.
  • Analyze territory performance and identify opportunities for expansion.
  • Work closely with distributor sales teams to identify and execute growth opportunities.
  • Conduct ride-alongs and joint sales calls when appropriate.
  • Support distributor training and product education initiatives.
  • Ensure proper execution of promotional programs and new product launches.
  • Ensure proper merchandising, product placement, and display execution.
  • Conduct sampling events, tastings, and retail activations.
  • Educate retail staff and consumers on product benefits and brand positioning.
  • Monitor competitive activity and provide market intelligence.
