About The Position

Stäubli is seeking a Field Sales Engineer for its Fluid Connectors Division to support sales efforts in the Midwest region. This role involves providing technical expertise and solutions to prospective and existing clients in sectors such as Chem/Pharma, Alternative Fuels, Motorsports, and General Industrial. The Field Sales Engineer will collaborate with the sales, product management, and sales administration teams to ensure customer satisfaction and drive division growth. The position reports to the Sales Manager: Industrial & Specialty Markets – US/CA.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or related field
3+ years of technical sales experience
Customer-based project management experience
Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Currently resides in the Midwest, preferably MI, but will consider candidates from OH or IN

Responsibilities

Develop a weekly call plan targeting open quotes, ongoing projects, leads, and key accounts.
Organize plans using Outlook Calendar or as per company policy, ensuring visibility and structure.
Spend 3 to 4 days per week in the field, targeting two daily customer meetings (in person or via Teams) with A/B accounts and qualified leads.
Spend 1 to 2 days per week in a home office for follow-up and planning activities.
Prospect for new business opportunities, demonstrating persistence and efficiency in follow-ups.
Record detailed call reports and prospecting notes as per company policy in the CRM system.
Maintain comprehensive records of all customer interactions and relevant sales activities.
Implement the company's chosen sales strategy in day-to-day activity.
Submit weekly expense reports and monthly project reports adhering to company guidelines.
Manage expenses responsibly in alignment with company policies.
Promptly report competitor activities and any significant market shifts to the Regional Manager.
Stay informed about industry trends and customer needs.
Attend all mandatory sales/training meetings, exhibitions, and other company-related events.
Uphold professional communication standards, ensuring the company's welfare and reputation in every interaction.
Adhere to all safety, quality, and environmental standards.
