About The Position

Central Valley Ag is looking for a Field Sales Agronomist who is motivated to grow business by understanding producers, earning their trust, and helping them move their operations forward. This is a customer facing sales role. You will strengthen current accounts, earn more of each customer’s business, and develop relationships with producers CVA is not currently serving. You will recommend fertilizer, seed, crop protection, precision agriculture, finance programs, and other solutions that create value for the producer and profitable growth for CVA. The best Field Sales Agronomists recognize that producers make decisions differently. Some are ready to explore new technology and growth opportunities. Others need time, practical information, and confidence in the people supporting them. Success requires listening, adjusting your approach, making credible recommendations, and consistently following through. Previous agronomy sales experience is helpful, but it is not required. We are interested in people who bring initiative, curiosity, competitive drive, relationship skills, and a willingness to learn.

Requirements

  • Motivation to grow business, pursue opportunities, and produce results.
  • Genuine interest in working with producers and understanding their operations.
  • Willingness to initiate conversations, meet new people, follow up consistently, and ask for the business.

  • Competitive drive balanced with integrity and long term relationship building.
  • Initiative, self direction, organization, and dependable follow through.

  • Sound judgment and a practical approach to solving customer problems.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and work independently while coordinating effectively with others.
  • Professional communication and customer service skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft applications.
  • Commitment to safety, accurate documentation, continuous improvement, and responsible use of resources.
