At E2, we value safety, innovation and collaboration, and we are dedicated to excellence. We are seeking an experienced Field Safety Manager to support a major natural gas compressor station project. This role will lead site safety efforts, drive compliance, and elevate field safety culture across all construction activities. This is a high-visibility, field-based role working directly with project leadership, contractors, and client representatives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of construction safety experience (utility, oil & gas, or heavy industrial preferred).
  • Experience supporting natural gas facilities, pipelines, or compressor stations.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations.
  • Experience in live gas / active utility environments.
  • Strong field presence and communication skills.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
  • Must possess a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficient with computers, portable electronic tablets, and supporting software including Office Suite.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

  • Assist field management with implementation of new and existing safety and training programs to meet company requirements and government regulations.
  • Provide daily safety leadership on an active compressor station construction site.
  • Lead JHAs, tailboards, and pre-task planning.
  • Perform site audits, inspections, and hazard identification.
  • Enforce compliance with OSHA, client standards, and company policies.
  • Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Track and report safety metrics and observations.
  • Coordinate with multiple contractors and trades to maintain safe operations.
  • Review and approve permits and high-risk work (confined space, hot work, lifting, etc.).
  • Serve as the primary on-site safety point of contact.
