About The Position

The Field Safety Inspector will be responsible for ensuring safety compliance among field technicians and at job sites. This role involves conducting inspections, maintaining records, collaborating with employees on safety solutions, and supporting return-to-work processes. The position requires a strong understanding of safety regulations, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and travel extensively.

Requirements

  • Ability to understand and interpret OSHA 29 CFR 1910 & 1926; knowledge of confined space procedures preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Safety, Construction, or related fields is preferred
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with strong prioritization and follow-through.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Must lead by example and consistently enforce company safety policies.
  • Ability to multitask, visit multiple job sites daily, and tolerate extensive road travel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to convey technical and non-technical information clearly.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Flexible schedule to meet operational needs.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a strong understanding of the fire protection and life safety industry.
  • Lead and drive safety compliance among all field technicians.
  • Conduct routine field inspections and audits to identify hazards and verify compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate safety records and prepare detailed reports on HSE performance, trends, and incidents.
  • Audit job sites to evaluate tools, equipment, materials, and personnel activities for safety and health compliance.
  • Collaborate with employees to develop solutions that improve workplace safety and reduce operational risk.
  • Maintain positive, professional working relationships with internal departments, customers, and external partners.
  • Support return-to-work processes for employees on leave due to workplace injuries or illnesses.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
