Field RV/Specialty Estimator - Florida
About The Position
National General, a part of The Allstate Corporation, is seeking an experienced RV/Specialty Appraiser to support field operations across the Gainesville, Daytona, Ocala, and Northern Orlando areas. This role is responsible for creating comprehensive estimates of damages for 1st and 3rd party material damage claims, leading to proper disposition. The appraiser will assess and estimate damages on RVs, motorcycles, trailers, and commercial vehicles, ensuring accurate and timely claim resolution. This position also serves as a peer mentor, demonstrating mastery of processes and technical expertise. The ideal candidate has strong specialty vehicle estimating experience, enjoys field work, and is committed to delivering fair and thorough evaluations.
Requirements
- Mastery of estimating fundamentals.
- Ability to interpret policy types.
- Ability to negotiate settlements and make payments.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance and fair claims practices.
- Strong relationship management skills.
- Experience with specialty vehicle estimating.
- Must possess authorization to work in the United States.
- Individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments at any point during employment.
- Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed to by the licensing team.

Responsibilities
- Create comprehensive estimates of damages for 1st and 3rd party material damage claims.

- Interpret policy types written by the company and assist in training.
- Negotiate settlements, make settlement payments, and document all activities in complex files.

- Build relationships with internal and external customers.
- Exhibit mastery of estimating fundamentals for losses of all severities.
