About The Position

DataScan’s Risk Management Operations team is hiring Field Risk Specialists to support its North American business unit by conducting floorplan inventory audits at automotive, equipment, powersports, and other dealerships within an assigned territory. The role involves physically verifying inventory, reviewing dealer records, identifying discrepancies involving sold, missing, damaged, and off-site units, and working with dealership personnel to reconcile findings. Specialists document results and enter accurate information into DataScan’s mobile audit application, helping clients manage risk and maintain accurate inventory reporting. This is a field-based role requiring attention to detail, sound judgment, and independent work in varying weather conditions and indoor and outdoor environments. Specialists interact regularly with dealership staff and client representatives, communicate audit results, and assess risk conditions. Travel within the assigned territory is required, including occasional overnight stays. Candidates should live in the West Palm Beach or North West Palm Beach area.

Ability to perform physical tasks such as clearing snow or ice from VIN/serial numbers, lifting or moving inventory boxes as needed, and bending, reaching, or stooping.
Must be able to drive for extended periods of time depending on market assignment.
High school diploma or GED required.

Nice To Haves

College education preferred.
Prior experience in floorplan auditing, financial services, automotive, customer service, field services, or a related industry is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Verify in-stock inventory by inspecting VIN/serial numbers for each floorplanned unit, often outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
Meet with authorized dealership personnel to research and determine the status of missing inventory units.
Review and validate dealer records and supporting documentation related to sold, missing, damaged inventory, and off-site collateral.
Verify the status and accuracy of MSOs (Manufacturer Statements of Origin) and vehicle titles.
Accurately record inventory status and audit findings using a mobile device audit application.
Document dealership visit details and audit observations.
Review audit results with dealership personnel in a clear and professional manner.
Communicate audit results, dealer conditions, and potential risk exposure to client representatives.
