About The Position

The Survey Research Center at the University of Southern Maine’s Catherine Cutler Institute has immediate openings for temporary part-time survey field researchers. The Survey Research Center conducts several short- and long-term projects each year. We are currently seeking individuals to conduct roadside observations for a highway safety project. This project involves traveling throughout the state of Maine to specified locations. Each workday will last between 9 and 11 hours, depending on travel time. The schedule may involve weekends and overnights. Total number of hours worked per week may vary. Pay is $18.50 per hour, and a mileage reimbursement of $0.67 per mile is provided. This position includes mandatory training which will be held on April 10, May 1, and May 29 in Portland, Maine. Personal transportation and a valid driver’s license are necessary.
