About The Position
AtkinsRéalis is seeking a CEI Inspector to join their team in Miami, FL. This role will lead and work on various FDOT projects in the Miami and Fort Lauderdale area. AtkinsRéalis is a global design, engineering, and project management consultancy with over 50 years of experience in the United States, providing a wide range of services to public and private clients. They focus on technically challenging infrastructure projects and the transition to a low-carbon economy.
Requirements
- High school diploma (or equivalent) plus ten years related experience OR Associate degree in a related technical field plus eight years related experience is required.
- FDOT experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Reads contract plans, specifications, shop drawings, and regulatory agency manuals.
- Observes milling and resurfacing operations.
- Observes construction activities such as trench excavation, pipe placement, backfill operations, pile driving, structure placement, steel reinforcement, concrete pouring, signalization and lighting, etc.
- Performs density and asphalt tests; samples and verifies certification of materials.
- Reviews shop drawings within your area of expertise, logs and reports materials.
- Assists in directing and teaching the daily activities of less experienced staff.
- Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
