About The Position

This role reports directly to the Director of Market Access and collaborates closely with the Market Access team to integrate analytics into sales execution. This position will partner closely with leadership and cross-functional partners and serve as an internal consultant to the Sales & Marketing team. This position plays a leading role in advising and counseling management in the development and evaluation of new and existing business strategies and tactics and as a result, shares accountability for business results. The Field Reimbursement and Strategic Marketing Manager is responsible for serving as the primary field-based lead for education, assistance, and issue resolution for the FSO and, in turn, HCPs and their office staff, with respect to access to Early Intervention therapies. Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in healthcare or business/public administration).
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience
  • Business/market experience and industry knowledge to influence franchise/brand level decisions and strategies are required.
  • Account Management and/or Reimbursement experience working in the provider office setting, building strong customer relationship.
  • Demonstrated expertise with both pharmacy and medical/buy & bill benefits, coding, and billing.
  • Reimbursement or relevant managed care experience (revenue cycle, buy-and-bill, prior authorization, coding, and appeals processes)
  • Ability to establish relationships, collaborate, and influence across a matrix organization.
  • Problem-solving ability to navigate challenging access scenarios and identifies solutions in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Superior communication skills (written and verbal) and efficient follow-through.
  • Experience in working with patient support HUB services.
  • Valid US driver’s license and a driving record in compliance with company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Leads strategic marketing through gathering insights from interdepartmental stakeholders in sales, marketing and market access. Applies this knowledge to influence and prioritize initiatives.
  • Educates regions directly on strategic marketing (access/coverage, PBM fulfillment, etc.)
  • Leverages data to support the pull-through strategic priorities (Rx, portfolio, Acuity, etc.)
  • Conducts monthly advisory sessions both with key field champions, providing feedback to NBM
  • Leads the development of strategic marketing materials, focused on elevating the segmentation of critical targets; provides resources that support the field deployment and pull-through of priority accounts.
  • Optimizes the utilization of the MyVisco program through supporting weekly meetings with their leadership, providing monthly dashboards to the regions highlighting performance, seeking ways to support individual account maximization and addressing largest barriers to success.
  • Educates HCPs on product coverage, prior authorizations and appeals, reimbursement processes, claims submissions, procedures, and coding requirements of payer organizations (local payers, government payers, etc.) for core and launch products.
  • Collaborates with field support team members, including sales representatives and key account managers, and serves as the reimbursement expert for each local team.
  • Completes 2-3 quarterly field rides to acquire real-time knowledge and help enhance team pull through, account support, and market insight generation to be shared with leadership and integrated into other regions. This includes follow-up notes to both the representative and leadership.
  • Leads the development and delivery of education during the monthly marketing insights calls that will be provided to the field sales organization on access, scripting, and other business acumen training.
  • Supports product development: provides functional input to portfolio development and strategies, ensuring market access needs are addressed.
  • Serves as liaison between the NBM, Strategic Alliance Manager and the FSO on the business development requirements needed for new product expansion capabilities with the focus on increasing business acumen with reimbursement and coding of the products.
  • Maintains and grows knowledge of national, regional, local, and account market dynamics including coverage and coding requirements
  • Understands and adapts to the changing healthcare ecosystem to tailor resourcing and messaging for HCPs and HCP staff.
