About The Position

The Field Quality Manager supports field operations by overseeing the implementation and compliance of Michels’ QA/QC programs in the field. The role conducts on-site inspections and routine assessments to ensure work meets quality expectations, project specifications, and industry standards. Success requires independent work, strong attention to detail, and effectiveness in a fast-paced environment. The position requires travel across the United States.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of QA/QC experience within the pipeline industry.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to travel across the United States.
• Valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles that may be driven, with an acceptable driving record as determined by the Michels Review Team.
• Ability to work independently, maintain strong attention to detail, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Related industry certifications, such as AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or AMPP Coating Inspector (Level 1–3).
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, isometrics, and specifications.
