Job Description Responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for advanced Homeowner's Claims. Determines coverage, damages and otherwise adjusts and negotiates claims within limit of authority. Responsible for creating or auditing a comprehensive estimate of damages for homeowners first party claims leading to the proper disposition. National General is seeking a Field Property Adjuster to join our Austin, TX Claims team. The ideal candidate will have experience handling a wide range of residential property claims and be proficient in both Xactimate and XactAnalysis . Responsibilities

• Possesses a deep understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company
• Possesses strong estimating fundamentals in order to create or audit estimates of damages on 1st party homeowners' losses with complexity
• Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers across multiple lines
• Evaluates settlement alternatives by reviewing regulatory compliance and fair claims practices; makes decisions on best option
• Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the most complex of files across multiple lines
