Field Property Adjuster
About The Position
National General, a part of The Allstate Corporation, offers a variety of insurance products including home, auto, accident, and health insurance, as well as other specialty niche insurance products. The company is seeking a Field Property Adjuster to join its Austin, TX Claims team. This role is responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for advanced Homeowner's Claims. The adjuster will determine coverage, assess damages, and adjust and negotiate claims within their limit of authority. A key aspect of the role involves creating or auditing comprehensive estimates of damages for homeowners' first-party claims to ensure proper disposition. The ideal candidate should possess experience handling a wide range of residential property claims and be proficient in both Xactimate and XactAnalysis.

Responsibilities
- Possesses a deep understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company
- Possesses strong estimating fundamentals in order to create or audit estimates of damages on 1st party homeowners' losses with complexity
- Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers across multiple lines
- Evaluates settlement alternatives by reviewing regulatory compliance and fair claims practices; makes decisions on best option
- Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the most complex of files across multiple lines
