About The Position

The Structural Steel Field Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of structural steel projects. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet all specified requirements. Key duties include managing project schedules, budgets, and contracts; coordinating with clients, engineers, fabricators, and field teams; reviewing shop and erection drawings; and ensuring safety compliance.

Requirements

  • 5+ years structural steel erecting experience with commercial and/or industrial projects
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Ability to travel regionally

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources from start to finish.
  • Manage contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and purchase orders for subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Review structural drawings, shop drawings, and erection plans to ensure they comply with project requirements and facilitate smooth fabrication and installation.
  • Implement and enforce safety plans and procedures on the job site and manage quality control processes.
  • Identify and resolve project challenges and issues as they arise.
  • Monitor job costs, manage billing and invoicing, and ensure timely payments.
  • Mentor project staff and foster a positive team environment.
