About The Position

As a Field Project Engineer, you will provide technical and project coordination support for industrial construction projects, helping ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality execution. This role supports project planning, scheduling, procurement, cost control, document management, and field operations while serving as a key link between project management, field teams, subcontractors, and clients. NOOTER combines national horsepower with local expertise in process mechanical construction, process electrical construction, material handling systems, structural steel, rigging, fabrication, machine setting, and related industrial construction services. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification, or the ability to obtain certification.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • 1 to 5 years of experience in construction, engineering, or project support roles.
  • Experience with project scheduling, cost control, budgeting, or forecasting activities.
  • Familiarity with construction drawings, technical specifications, and field operations.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and construction project management or scheduling software.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
  • Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Pre-employment drug screen and background check required.

Responsibilities

  • Support industrial construction projects from the office and the field to help keep work progressing safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, submittments, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate closely with project managers, field supervision, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
  • Maintain project records.
  • Track materials and procurement activities.
  • Support scheduling and cost control efforts.
  • Participate in safety and quality initiatives.
  • Assist with project reporting and change management.
  • Help resolve technical questions.
  • Communicate project information between stakeholders.
  • Contribute practical solutions to construction and operational challenges.
