About The Position

Weee! is the largest and fastest-growing ethnic e-grocer in the United States, operating in one of the largest underserved categories in retail with affordable access to exciting ethnic food. By partnering with local suppliers, redesigning the value chain and leveraging social buying, Weee! is reshaping the grocery business entirely. This role is onsite 5 days a week in Fremont, CA. The Field Process Engineer will focus on medium complexity cross-functional projects aimed at operational excellence and process improvement. This includes defining project goals, establishing timelines, and delivering results within scope and deadlines. The role involves partnering with Core PE to identify and track operational metrics, and collaborating with Operations, Last Mile, Supply Chain, and PE teams to implement solutions that improve workflow efficiency and reduce costs. The engineer will identify and address complex root causes in current processes, create corrective action plans, and ensure alignment with operational standards. Responsibilities also include implementing solutions, providing training, updating and maintaining training materials and SOPs, conducting 'train the trainer' sessions, and proactively mitigating safety risks. Additionally, the role drives continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, increase efficiency, and improve quality, and requires knowledge of automation and last mile fulfillment systems to optimize processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial engineering or related fields.
  • 1-year professional experience in Inventory Management.
  • 1-year professional experience in Project Management.
  • 1-year professional experience in Safety & Risk Management.
  • 1-year professional experience in Process Design & SOP Development.
  • 1-year professional experience in End-to-End Supply Chain & Logistics Operations.
  • 1-year professional experience in Process Optimization & Efficiency Improvement.
  • 1-year professional experience in Training, Leadership & Performance Management.
  • Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience will be accepted.
  • A bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in one of the requisite fields followed by 1 year of experience in the position Operations Engineer, Process Engineer or related position will be accepted.

Responsibilities

  • Manage medium complexity cross-functional projects focused on operational excellence and process improvement.
  • Define project goals, establish timelines, and deliver results within scope and deadlines.
  • Partner with Core PE to identify and track operational metrics.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Last Mile, Supply Chain, and PE teams to implement solutions that improve workflow efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Identify and address complex root causes in current processes, create corrective action plans to achieve operational goals and ensure alignment with operational standards.
  • Implement solutions and provide training to address operational challenges.
  • Update and maintain training materials and SOPs for system updates and process improvements.
  • Conduct 'train the trainer' sessions for new hire training, beginner support, routine training, and cross-functional development.
  • Proactively mitigate safety risks within the production process, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, increase efficiency and improve quality.
  • Utilize knowledge of the automation fulfillment system and collaborate with the development team to optimize the fulfillment process.
  • Utilize knowledge of the last mile fulfillment system to improve the last mile order fulfillment rate and customer satisfaction rate.
