The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) is seeking a detail-oriented, part-time Field Enumerator to support their organization. This role involves collecting agricultural data on behalf of the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS). The Field Enumerator plays a crucial role in serving agricultural producers by providing reliable, accurate, and objective statistics and information that farmers, ranchers, and rural communities depend on. This position requires active interviewing of farmers, ranchers, and other agricultural businesses, sometimes involving travel to designated fields for crop counts. The role also includes maintaining and delivering detailed records of interviews, crop counts, mileage, expenditures, and hours worked. The work is conducted from a residence with an operable telephone, free from distractions, and requires the use of a personal vehicle for travel.
