About The Position

Provides 24x7x365 Tier II technical support and troubleshooting for critical infrastructure systems, ensuring operational integrity, site readiness, business continuity, capacity planning, and cost-effective operation of critical facility equipment. Serves as a technical escalation point for field operations, supporting emergency response, disaster recovery, and infrastructure reliability initiatives.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, or equivalent education and relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of related experience with a degree.
  • 7+ years of related industry experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience supporting critical infrastructure, electrical and electronic systems, power distribution, UPS, generators, HVAC, and facility operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier II technical support and troubleshooting for critical infrastructure systems including AC power distribution, generators, ATS, UPS systems and battery strings, DC power plants and batteries, PDUs, STS, grounding, fire systems, HVAC equipment, CRAC units, chillers, dry coolers, condensers, pumps, buildings, and structural systems.
  • Support field technicians and management in stabilizing emergencies, resolving complex technical issues, and reducing dependence on external vendors.
  • Maintain core site readiness by identifying, documenting, prioritizing, and escalating infrastructure deficiencies, risks, and jeopardy situations for remediation.
  • Identify critical infrastructure requiring replacement and support planning, approval, and replacement processes.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for task forces, cross-functional projects, and technical initiatives, providing recommendations and solutions to operational challenges.
  • Provide onsite and remote disaster recovery support for facilities and critical infrastructure equipment.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance programs, maintenance scheduling, and infrastructure lifecycle planning.
  • Ensure Business Continuity Planning (BCP) infrastructure information remains accurate for sites within the assigned Area of Responsibility (AOR).
  • Conduct capacity management assessments and support infrastructure planning for core sites.
  • Deliver Preventive Maintenance Inspection (PMI) and technical troubleshooting training to field technicians.
  • Lead and coordinate vendors, contractors, and technical teams on projects and complex assignments.
  • Support repair and replacement activities, ensuring compliance with approval and engineering review processes.
  • Travel as required, including short-notice travel, to support emergency situations and critical site operations.
