About The Position

As the Robot Field Operator, you will work with cutting-edge technology and play an important role as we expand to farms across California’s Central Coast. We are looking for someone who is passionate about sustainable innovation, loves solving new and exciting problems, is detail-oriented, and works well in a team. In this role, you will be working in a dynamic and highly collaborative startup environment with opportunities to learn new skills in robotics, programming, and hardware development. Your core responsibilities will be the operation/monitoring of our vehicle-sized robot and in-field data collection several nights per week. Our team will teach you the skills you need to be confident operating the robot and you will have the opportunity to shadow one of our experienced field automation technicians until you are comfortable collecting data and running the platform yourself. All field data will be carefully logged and submitted to our online database. During treatments you will document the robot's progress, check for proper operation, troubleshoot any issues that may prevent a complete treatment, and suggest improvements when possible.
