About The Position

This position monitors and maintains equipment associated with remote crude oil stations, valve sites, and pipelines. It performs daily operational duties related to gathering and transporting crude liquids, including preventative maintenance, station loss control, crude quality testing and monitoring, and operating and repairing crude equipment from station inlet through station discharge. The role is located in Killdeer, North Dakota, and requires 12-hour shifts that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver’s license.
Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to recognize safety risks and hazards, use personal protective equipment, follow tool and equipment manuals and training, understand lockout/tag-out procedures, and stop work when conditions are unsafe.

Responsibilities

Operate production equipment, including filter vessels, environmental controls, pumps, crude gathering systems, and central tank batteries.
Gauge tanks and check pump action to maintain pipeline pressure within guidelines.
Collect fluid and crude samples and conduct production and fluid tests.
Provide maintenance and repairs to facilities and equipment.
Monitor and maintain equipment at remote crude oil stations, valve sites, and pipelines.
Perform equipment preventative maintenance and station loss control.
Monitor crude quality and operate and repair crude equipment from station inlet through station discharge.
Practice awareness concerning health, safety, and environmental issues.
Potentially perform OQ-covered responsibilities similar to those of Pigging Technicians, Pipeline Operators, and Corrosion Technicians.
