About The Position

The Field Operator - Flowback is responsible for operating equipment and wells by applying operating and safety procedures and guidelines to meet daily operational plans, reduce equipment failure, and ensure efficient resource administration. This role involves implementing daily work objectives, performing continuous surveillance of wells and equipment, and basic maintenance activities. The operator will also be responsible for reporting and communication, data collection, and supporting wellwork operations.

Requirements

Secondary education completed
Prior experience as a Field Technician required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
High commitment to Safety, Health, and Environmental standards
Understanding of pipeline operations
Familiarity with safety and operations management systems
Knowledge of Emergency Preparedness Procedures
Understanding of project philosophy and design specifications
Knowledge of applicable regulations and commercial agreements

Responsibilities

Implement daily work objectives including housekeeping, safety, health, environmental, and security standards
Actively participate in daily toolbox talks and scheduled safety meetings
Perform continuous surveillance of wells and equipment; identify and execute corrective and optimization actions
Function as Equipment Care Technician and perform basic maintenance activities
Report alarms, emergencies, or any out-of-service emergency shutdown systems
Provide clear and accurate shift handover communication to ensure operational continuity
Coordinate, control, and monitor maintenance activities (corrective, predictive, preventive)
Maintain detailed logbook entries of operational events, abnormalities, and deviations
Collect product samples and perform field laboratory testing
Participate in emergency response activities
Report incidents and escalate per Incident Reporting Guidelines
Maintain communication with Operations Shift Supervisor regarding all operational activities
Ensure effective communication across the team to address operational issues
Report well performance data including production rates and operating conditions
Perform thorough well diagnostics prior to requesting Wellwork intervention
Ensure wellhead and surface equipment are operational prior to intervention activities
Support Wellwork operations as required
